Günter Hartl : Mondo Green

Already in the fourth generation, the Hartl family in Stumm in the Zillertal produces original Zillertaler Doggln. Once Günter Hartl’s grandfather traveled from Upper Austria to the Zillertal and learned there the traditional Zillertal craft of “Doggelmachens”.

He passed on to his son the knowledge and ability to make it. Today, grandson Günter Hartl works in the fourth generation together with his wife, his mother-in-law and his son in the small Zillertal shoe manufactory and produces the finest footwear from the highest quality materials from the region with great skill and a sense of tradition.

Loden and Walk are made from pure sheep’s wool in the best quality with Tyrolean mountain water without any chemicals in the Tyrol. Wool grows back, with two shearing per year our four-legged suppliers provide us with this noble raw material.
Where man and nature give their best, extraordinary things are created. At the Hartls, this begins with a “raw material” with fascinating properties: our materials insulate without trapping heat, absorb moisture and odors, caress the feet, keep them warm, fresh and dry.
Rye papp, is our natural glue made of rye flour and water, which is used to glue the wool layers together.

This traditional natural product is made from high quality sheep wool. (Wool felt is 100% recyclable).

Rubber sole:
The rubber sole makes our doggln absolutely non-slip and even roadworthy!
Rubber Sole Soft:
The rubber sole Soft is the right solution for the absolute non-slip for home.
Rubber Milk:
The rubber milk is an absolute anti-slip, which is applied to the felt sole.
