Over 100 years experience
1913 Josef’s grandfather Karl Waldner founded the linen weaving mill and already produced the Fleckerl carpets typical for the Zillertal. Back then, customers brought the textiles cut into “Fleckerl” themselves – some customers still keep it that way today.
1950 Josef’s aunt Elisabeth took over the weaving mill, as his father Josef senior was still too young.
1965 Josef’s father took over the company and specialized in sheep wool and fleckerl carpets.
1992 Josef has been the owner of the small traditional business since 1992 and continues the craft together with his wife Martina. The Waldner family attaches great importance to continuing the craftsmanship and experience acquired from their ancestors.
Our way of life is our seal of quality. We don’t need fast, modern machines: our hand weaving machines work as fast as our own hands dictate.
The quality of our products begins with our selection of the highest quality raw materials. Even before production, during purchasing, we check very carefully whether the raw material meets our requirements.
